KEFLAVIK AIRPORT, ICELAND: It's a strange little piece of space and time, this surreal airport, silent and bathed in the sunlight that usually is reserved for the early morning sunlight, which here, comes with a sunrise at 9 a.m. Outside it is desolate, flat and gray, and even the sounds of the planes are muted along with the colors. I am another place.
